Frequently asked questions
What does ParlayLab actually do?
ParlayLab is a daily MLB research tool. We project every game on the slate using a transparent seven-step methodology, surface prop-by-prop hit rates and matchup data, and let you save the picks you’re studying for later review. We do not facilitate or process wagers — nothing in the app or on this website moves real money.
Where does the data come from?
Game schedules, lineups, and player stats come from the public MLB Stats API. Odds come from licensed feeds (The Odds API plus SportsGameOdds). Weather is from Open-Meteo. Hard-hit rates are from public Statcast. Our model combines those inputs into the projections you see — we do not buy or use any tipster signals.
How often does the data refresh?
The full daily run kicks off at 7:00 AM Eastern, which produces the morning slate. From 11:00 AM Eastern through first pitch we re-pull lines, lineups, and prop odds every 15 minutes. Once a game starts we freeze its projection so live in-game movement doesn’t pollute the pre-game numbers.
Why is a game missing from today’s slate?
Most often this is because MLB hasn’t finalized the game in their schedule yet (rescheduled or weather-impacted games get a new identifier and re-appear when MLB updates). Our scheduler re-pulls every 15 minutes, so missing games typically self-heal within an hour. If a game is still missing the morning of, please email us with the matchup and date.
How accurate is the model?
We publish backtest results — including profit/loss by market and accuracy by stat — on the parlaylab.io homepage and update them periodically. Past performance does not predict future results, and no model is 100% accurate. Use the projections as one input alongside your own research.
Why do I need to be 21 to sign up?
ParlayLab content includes betting odds and prop projections that many users research alongside legal sports betting in their state or province. To keep our content audience aligned with regulated sports betting in the United States, we restrict accounts to users 21 and older. The age check happens at sign-up.
I forgot my password.
Tap “Forgot?” on the sign-in screen, or go to parlaylab.io/sign-in and use the recovery flow. If your account uses Google or Apple sign-in, password recovery happens through that provider, not through us. Email team@parlaylab.io if you can’t get back in.
How do I delete my account?
Email team@parlaylab.io from the address tied to your account and we’ll permanently delete your account, saved plays, and any associated data within seven days. We’ll confirm by reply when it’s done.
Is there a paid tier?
Not yet. Every signed-in user has full access to the slate, props, and MyLab. We may introduce a Pro tier in the future for advanced features — if and when we do, current free functionality will remain free.
I noticed a bug or something looks wrong.
Please tell us! Email team@parlaylab.io with a screenshot, the date, and the matchup or player involved if relevant. Bug reports help every user; we genuinely appreciate them.
